More research is needed on Doxy PEP effectiveness for people assigned female at birth and those who have vaginal sex. However, if you would benefit from Doxy PEP, talk to your provider to see if it’s an option for you.
You have sex on a Monday afternoon.
Take Doxy PEP by Thursday afternoon.
You have sex on Sunday at 9 p.m. then take Dose 1 of Doxy PEP at 11 p.m.
You then have sex on Monday at 8 a.m. Dose 2 of Doxy PEP is due at 11 p.m. or later.
You have sex on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Take Dose 3 of Doxy PEP soon after sex – by Saturday at 7 p.m.

Even if you've been taking Doxy PEP, make an appointment or walk in to be seen. Let us know you have symptoms so we can book enough time for your appointment.
